New day, a new leak. You know the game by now. Right after Samsung announced that there will be an Unpacked event in July, we now have the specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and also a possible date.
According to the current leak on Twitter, the outer display is actually growing significantly in size. The 3.4″ AMOLED display should have an HD resolution. The main display (also AMOLED, of course) is probably 6.7″ diagonal with Full HD+ resolution. As it should be, the refresh rate will be 120 Hz. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is used as the SoC, which can access 8 GB of RAM. When it comes to storage, you can choose between 128 and 256 GB. Although I personally have to say that 128 GB is now not enough for me.
The cameras have a resolution of 12 MP. It is not yet known which setup is installed exactly. Android 13 with OneUI 5.1 is of course used as the operating system. That’s no surprise. Samsung has become exemplary in this respect in recent years, also in terms of providing updates over several years. The battery should be 3700 mAh and can be charged with 25 watts. Since a Snapdragon is used as the SoC, you should be able to get through the day with it and charge comfortably overnight.
All that’s missing is the price and the presentation date. Prices will start at $999. In Germany, the price should be higher. In 2022, the Z Flip 4 started at 1099 euros . That should be similar this year. The date given in the leak is July 26/27. That makes sense because Samsung’s announcement reports have always given a date of late July.
